2. Collect Signatures
The following rules will help assure that the effort you spend collecting signatures will be counted.
- The "circulator" (person collecting signatures) must:
- Be 18 years of age or older with a photo ID;
- Be the only person circulating the petition;
- Witness the signing of the petition;
- Allow each person an opportunity to read the full text of the initiative before signing.
- Each petition is specific to a County and Congressional District.
- Each person signing the petition must be a registered voter in that County and Congressional District, It doesn’t matter if they’ve never voted before in Nevada so long as they are registered there.
- Information provided by each person signing the petition includes:
- PRINT YOUR NAME (first name, initial, last name)

In the form mm/dd/24 - CITY
- COUNTY. This must match the county listed at the top of the page. We DO NOT need state or zip code..
- Use a BLACK or BLUE ball point pen. NO pencil or Sharpie.
- Make sure all information stays within the dotted line box. If information flows outside this box (especially signatures) it will not be counted.
- If a mistake is made, cross it out and use the next box.
- Each petition has room for 32 signatures. If you need more, use another petition.
Helpful Suggestions
- The best thing to say when trying to get someone to sign is to tell them this is a proposed Constitutional amendment to require a photo ID when voting in person.
- Set up a table in a high traffic area.
- Involve others.
- Get your friends and family collecting signatures (on different petitions).
